Fish Food – Per Kilo
Fingerlings start on a crumble or flake diet once they reach around 30 to 40 mm and transition to pellets as they grow. Keep moving your fish up a pellet size as they grow larger to ensure they receive the appropriate nutrition.
For Golden Perch, a diet of blood worms is often preferred during their earliest stages, as they can be challenging to wean onto prepared foods. However, with patience and consistency, they can be transitioned onto crumble and pellets for easier feeding and management.
Murray Cod are opportunistic feeders and will consume anything that fits in their mouths.
If your fingerlings are stocked in a farm dam, feeding may not be necessary, as they naturally feed on plankton, tiny insects and other organic matter found in their environment.
