Meet the fish and yabbies Narrabri Fish Farm breed native fingerlings (Silver Perch, Golden Perch, Murray Cod, Catfish) and Yabbies. Learn about aquaculture and meet all the species on the Daily tour.

- Native Fish Focus: Breeding species like Murray Cod and Golden Perch, which are native to the area minimises ecological disruption.
- Water Management: Water for the fish and yabbies is recycled and re used.
- Waste Utilisation: Nutrient rich wastewater from aquaculture, often referred to as “cod poo,” is being used as organic fertiliser for Aquaponics.
- Stock Regeneration: Narrabri Fish Farm supports the re-stocking of native fish in river systems, aiding in the regeneration of threatened species.
- Regional Integration: Narrabri Fish Farm is involved in ongoing research to optimise water efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of agricultural practices
